Landscape of the young Isaac Levitan “Autumn. Hunter ”is very similar to his other work, better known as Autumn. Falconics. “. The difference between them is only a year. All the same compositional construction with dynamic, sharp reductions in perspective, so that work boasts depth and space. All the same gloomy autumn sky, and yet the same insignificant role of man – nature is the main character.
It already shows a deep autumn, and small sections of the first snow are visible on the path showered with yellow leaves. The trees are almost naked, so the viewer can well consider their curved trunks and sharp branches.
A dark figure appeared on the trampled path, and only the author’s explanation and close look allow us to get to know the hero better. A man with a hunting rifle is wary and attentive. And the right dog helps him to find prey – the eye does not immediately recognize him, since the flowering merges with brown leaves and snow areas.
In general, Levitan had an amazing talent – he wrote DIVERY landscapes that you can not only admire, but also tell how the plot of some kind of elegy book is. This picture is a very eloquent example of such work, and it is no coincidence that it is very popular in schools so far, very often acting as the subject of school works.
