Overview of the painting :

The jugs in the ground are Dmitry Mikhailovich Krasnopovites. 1969. Organs, oil. 49.5×61.5
The main theme of D.’s work. M. Krasnopovetseva (1925-1995) was a “metaphysical still life”, easily recognizable by its graphic style, monochrome and the touch of surrealism. In these works, the artist is interested in the structure and materiality of objects – broken ceramics, dried plants and sea sinks, always written before tangible, as if molded, shavished or cut from various materials.

In the picture “The Jugs in the Earth”, clay vessels written on a neutral background dissolve the connection with the space, begin to exist self-sufficiently outside it and are as if in zero gravity, not obeying the law of gravity. The artist is interested in the form as such and its magical ability to create a composition.
