Giovanni Bellini, like Andrea Mantenya, is considered the most significant artist of northern Italy of the XV century. The master, who formed in a late-nectical environment, discovered an unusual gift of continuous improvement of this visual language, which led him to a more modern harmony of form and color and ultimately to tone painting and classical grandeur typical of the High Renaissance.

Bellini, known for his altar paintings, also writes divine images like this, where he manages to interpret the traditional plot with a special distinctive creative inspiration.
