One of the most famous museums of Venice and the Correr Museum. It is located on Piazza San Marco in the Napoleon wing of the Procuratie. The name of the Museum was given in honor of the most famous Venetian of the artist Theodore Correr. He gave Venice its huge collection of decorative art and painting. The Correr Museum was founded in 1830 and still has not lost its relevance. Tourists come here from different cities of Europe to enjoy unique works of art.
The Museum consists of three thematic collections.
1.Historical Museum – collection where historical views of Venice, various documents, and also a magnificent Veduta by the masters of the school of Canaletto. Here you can find unique coins, weapons, seals, and everything to do with the historical development of Venice.
2.Art gallery. Lover of Italian painting like it in the picture gallery of the Museo Correr. Here are a lot of beautiful and famous paintings, most famous of which is the paintings of Vittore Carpaccio “Two Venetian”.
3.The Museum Of The Risorgimento. We can say that this Museum, as here you can see the huge number of exhibits telling about the origin of the Venetian Republic until its fall and the unification of Italy. Here are presented and the costumes, and engravings, historical paintings and more.
