The sketch from the village life “Waves” in the plot is straightforward. Undoubtedly, the artist was attracted by color symmetry, bright details.
Assembly yard at the end of a hard day. Two oxen met with the hay. Playing in black and white, the master embodies the idea of the unity of opposites. The dynamism of the plot is given by two bright details: a veil on the cart and a chicken in the legs of a white ox. The sandy color of the earth and the stable creates a common neutral background, the white cloudy sky is designed to give the volume everywhere.
The sketch is written in bold, rude strokes that testify to the remarkable talent of the young artist.
