One of the early works of the master, in which his special, unique manner and artistic handwriting is already guessed. The iron sketch looks like a fairly independent work. The fabulous huge boulder conquered by the boy on a walk looks like a symbolic embodiment of the beginning of the author’s artistic path.
For a boy, a boulder is a mountain for which serious efforts must be made. Perhaps this is the first victory over oneself. The boulder itself, overgrown with mosses and lichens, looks mysterious, difficult.
The forest surrounding the central object of the image is multicolor. In this case, he is not just a decoration, but a full participant in the action. Trees hug the boulder, hold tightly in their arms. He has long been part of this forest. Part is integral.
A clear, blue sky fills all the work with a sense of joy and sincerity.
