- Country: Russia
- City: Chekhov
- Address: Chehova str., 4A
The Museum of letters AP Chekhov is in the building, which was opened on the initiative of the writer of the post office. It was in 1896 in the village of Lopatinskoe.
At the entrance to the Museum in the courtyard you can see the monument to Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, which is made of bronze and a height of about three meters.
The Museum of letters was opened in 1941. To date, the Museum for sure saved the environment, which was in the building when the Czechs worked there. Through this post office he sent more than 400 letters to their correspondents. With the help of certain documents and people who remember this post office, the Museum tried to restore the true situation, and I must say it turned out well.
A small part of the 2,000 letters that sent mail can be seen in the Museum. Besides letters the exhibition presents postage, various printing and much more. The Museum of letters often held a variety of lectures, recitals and conferences.
